Welcome to STBBC Youth!!!

We hope that every young person in attendance feels welcomed, heard and included in everything we do. Every event and regular activity we run places the young person at the centre, allowing them to develop their spirituality using the unique giftings and talents God has provided them.

We run a variety of events and regular activities for 11-18s designed for them to explore their personal relationship with God and have fun doing so. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch (contact details can be found at the bottom of this page).

Shoeburyness High School

We are blessed to have a strong and long-lasting relationship with Shoeburyness High School. Our presence at the school has looked different over the many years, but most recently our Youth Worker runs multiple Arts & Wellbeing courses for young people struggling with their mental health.

Youth Mental Health Support Worker (Tool Box Youth Therapy)

In 2021, our Youth Worker sat down with the youth group to hear directly from them around there biggest concerns at that point in time. We heard a group of young people deeply concerned around the mental health crisis, both those who felt they were unwell, and therefore worried around how they would access support, and those who are well, and their worry for their peers.

Following these conversations with the young people, we applied and subsequently received funding to hire a Youth Mental Health Support Worker. Our Youth Mental Health Support Worker, who is a trained therapist, runs Tool Box Youth Therapy, a free therapy service for young people and young adults aged 11-25. Over 20 young people have now accessed this service and received therapy who would have otherwise faced waiting lists above 6 months.
